Graeme founded the business in 2006 when he was appointed to launch its pre-curser at Investec Bank. Launching the bank’s real estate private equity business, Graeme led the successful establishment and exit of two unlisted funds and an Australian and European hotel fund as well as the deployment of the bank’s balance sheet into numerous property transactions.

Graeme then launched the listed Investec Australia Property Fund in 2013 with just six assets, dual listed it in 2019, led the internalisation of the management and re-branding to Irongate Group in 2020 and then led the sale of the then 40 asset, $1.7 billion fund to Charter Hall in 2022 for market leading returns.

Prior to Irongate, Graeme was general manager of investment sales at Mirvac Group, one of Australia’s leading real estate businesses, where he was the key person and responsible officer for the Mirvac Group real estate license dealing with their registered and unregistered schemes.

Stephen was with Investec Bank for 39 years in various capacities and CEO from 1996 to 2018. In 2017, Stephen was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Commerce Degree by the University of the Witwatersrand.

He is a former board member of Business Leadership South Africa, former non-executive director and chairman of the South African Banking Association, a former director of the JSE Limited, Bidvest Group Limited and the dual-listed (ASX & JSE) Irongate Group, a former member of the Financial Markets Advisory Board and former chairman of the Independent Bankers Association. Stephen is chairman of BidCorp limited, Bud Group (Pty) Ltd, IEP Group (Pty) Ltd, Innovation Africa SA NPC, Arrowpoint Capital, EDT Trust, co-chair of Youth Employment Services (YES) and a non-executive director of Investec Limited, Investec PLC, INL Investments (Pty) Ltd and Bravo Transport Holdings Ltd.

Andrew has been part of the JSE-listed Burstone Group’s executive management team since joining Investec in August 2012 when the Fund had R2bn of local assets. Since then, he has played an integral role in the growth of the Fund’s South African portfolio and the creation and investment into the Fund’s offshore platforms, including Irongate Group.

Andrew fulfilled the role of chief financial officer from August 2015 until 1 December 2018 when he became joint chief executive officer of the Fund. Prior to this, Andrew spent eight years in London where he qualified as a chartered accountant, worked in corporate finance and later headed up the team at Caesars Entertainment UK that was responsible for driving profitability and rolling out new business opportunities across the EMEA region.

George joined Investec’s real estate team in 2008, initially in a debt capacity. Previously trained as an engineer, George moved to Investec’s real estate special situations business post-GFC where he was responsible for real estate turnarounds and opportunistic new investments.

Since the launch of the listed REIT in 2013, George has focused on acquisitions and strategic asset management.

George’s skills cover direct real estate capital transactions and asset management as well as property finance and special situations opportunities.

Adam commenced at Investec Bank in 2005 with a focus on real estate finance before being appointed to run the real estate banking business in Victoria for Investec. This role encompassed senior and structured debt as well as equity investments.

Adam then spent four years at one of Australia’s leading alternative real estate investment managers and returned to Irongate in 2018 to lead the unlisted funds management business.

Adam is responsible for capital raising as well as fund management.

Errol joined the Irongate Group as CFO in 2023. Prior to that, he was investment manager at an Australian integrated property group where his role included finance, structuring, due diligence, and asset underwriting. Before that, he was a corporate finance executive in the investment banking team at Investec Bank in South Africa. Prior to that, Errol was at South Africa's leading boutique investment bank, Java Capital, where he focused on real assets.

Errol worked at EY and KPMG prior to embarking on his investment banking and real estate career.

Ivan joined Investec in 2013 and brings more than 20 years of experience across construction work including project and development management.

Ivan has primary responsibility for project delivery and providing technical expertise across Investec’s property portfolio.

Ivan’s skills also cover ESG and he is responsible for Irongate’s ESG initiatives both across assets as well as within the business.

Prior to Irongate Group, Joanna worked for the Investec Group since 2000 across a number of finance areas, including group finance, capital markets and property.

Joanna plays a lead role in the preparation of statutory and regulatory reporting, tax returns and business management analysis for the Irongate Group and all its funds and partnerships.

Prior to Irongate Group, Sam worked for the Investec Group since 2020 and has close to ten years’ experience in commercial property.

His role at Irongate Group is focused on the analysis and execution of capital transactions across Australia and New Zealand, as well as the administration of capital partnerships.

Previously, Sam held roles at ISPT and EY (Real Estate Advisory), where he specialised in valuations, transaction advisory and feasibility analysis.

Prior to joining Irongate Group, Seb worked in PwC Australia's Transaction Services team in Melbourne with a focus on buy-side and sell-side due diligence across a variety of sectors.

His role at Irongate Group is focused on the analysis and execution of capital transactions across Australia, as well as the administration of capital partnerships.

Prior to joining Irongate Group, Sarah worked in various industries including banking, law and hospitality in client facing and administrative roles. Her role at Irongate Group is to provide administrative support to the team and coordinate office operations.
